Tracking

Again with playing catch-up. I've decided to start putting dates with my pictures just to emphasize how random my blogging is.First, the Shaeffer, ready for church! (September 27, 2009)
Hayden, trying to sleep in while I got ready for work (January 26, 2010)
Some tracks that I asked Dad to help me identify (January 26, 2010)
Email from Jennifer to Dad:
Dad,

I saw these animal tracks yesterday morning and I'm trying to identify the animal that made them. Any ideas?
Response from Dad:
Hmmmm

They are very neat an orderly, indicating a creature that is fairly detailed and precise. There are no connections between the tracks, indicating the creature is capable of becoming airborne. The fact that each of these tracks is a different shape indicates that the creature has a certain amount of randomness associated with them. The size of the tracks is indeed impressive. This could indicate a very large creature, but I think not because the tracks aren't overly deep and because, if the creature were very large, the lift required for them to become airborne (see above) would create an airflow that would have either wiped out the tracks or significantly blurred them. So I think the creature is relatively small (compared to the tracks), but leaves a very large impression where ever it goes.

But I can't refine it much more than that. The characteristics generally point to some type of bird like creature. Generically, we could refer to it as Da Bird until we get better information.

She was laughing and didn't want to accidentally blow the candles out.
Me and Michael B with mouths died from icing.
We're weird!
I might have made a moustache for him with my fork . . .
I had a filling that cracked and then fell out. It may have had some help . . . WHAT??? It was all wiggly! (February 21, 2010)
